I am a pc games fan. I just wanna know, what is the difference between a patch and a mod and how do i want to upgrade my game into a higher version like from V1.0 to V1.1?

A patch is directly from the developer that produced the game and is 99% guaranteed to make the game run better. A mod is usually a user-created modification to the games code to make the game (sometimes) more fun or interesting. Patches generally fix broken code in a game to make it more playable, or add new features to the code to create bonus content for the user. Mods usually twist the code around to accomplish a gameplay function.

I’m a Mac user, and it’s frustrating that whenever I go to play a game, or download one free, it’s only Windows compatible! Macs can play games, and they have great graphics. This is really annoying to me.

I’m a Mac user too, and have incounted the same problem. Sometimes I do get frustrated. Then I relize that sometimes there are better versions or games that are only Mac compatible. freeworldgroup.com has some good downloadable games for mac. Good Luck!

Okay I’m looking for Worms 2 and Grand theft auto on PC and I can’t find them anywhere…a guy at at a store said worms got disconntinued 5 years ago but my brother said there is a store that stocks all old games or even websites where I could purchase them?

Does anyone know where I could get them

I know there are websites to get free old NES and SNES games ect. What about old computer games that are no longer in stores ect…. Anyone know of any websites that are free to download such games?

It is hard to get full version free game, and those free game download website might contain virus, which is a nightmare. Maybe you wanna try to purchase at $6.99 only instead of $19.99

I already have Broken Sword and Secret Files. I don’t like Runaway or LucasArts/Sierra games. And I don’t like games that are too gruesome. Please help. What good adventure games should I get?

LucasArts and Sierra have the most prolific and extensive libraries for adventure games. Taking those away, you’ve got slim pickings, really.

Try the DreamFall series, Last Express, or Syberia.

EDIT: Would you other contributers stop naming games that have absolutely nothing to do with the Adventure genre.

I am looking to buy a PC game where you can free roam lakes and fish, and has pretty decent graphics. Also a hunting game where you can free hunt woods and kill deer. Does anyone know of any good games that have both good graphics and have free play?

don’t know about fishing but deer hunter tournament is the newest hunting game. but i don’t like it, like deer hunter 2005.

Doubt you can download those games for free. You can download the demos probably, but not the full game. If you’re desperate for FPS, you can play Soldier Front.

We have heaps of sports games but I was thinking more along the lines of something based on a kids movie like Surfs Up or Bees or Nanny Mcphee or Peter Pan and has to be an adventure game with levels etc..

Just looking for some ideas!

Zelda rocks: if your mature enough but if you want it to be suitible for young kids aswell -12 then i would recomend the Lego Indiana jones or Lego Batman. These games have actually been getting really good reviews. And also two people can play at the same time.
