I am looking to play pc games like WOW and Counter Strike Source online. The problemis that I connect to the internet through a wireless network with a high speed connection. Somethies the reception isnt that great(like 11 Mbps). Would this cause a lot of lag issues while gameing?

I’ve used a wireless network for CounterStrike with very little problems. Of course wireless will never be faster than a wired connection (for obvious reasons), but like I said, it hasn’t given me any problems… especially if you have cable internet

I’m considering buying a MMORPG, such as World Of Warcraft or Guild Wars, and I wanted to know if there were any dangers such as viruses or spyware that I could get by playing these games.

Not big name game like WoW or Guild Wars. The spyware that comes from online games is usually from "free sites" that does not have a subscription. Most common are card games or online casinos run by unknown companies. (For instance, playing yahoo games is safe).

The Microsoft SideWinder X8 is a very nice wireless mouse for gaming, but as stated by the last answerer, a wired mouse will outperform a wireless one 100% of the time in regards to lag.

This just happened recently my kid downloads trial games and they were no problem then one day when she did it she put it on my desktop as usual and it froze my computer and it would also not open the game tried recovery it didn’t work any suggestions

Could be not enough room on your graphics card in PC or bad memory… it happened to me.

I will be without internet and therefore am looking for some good single player pc games. I am running a laptop with pretty minimal gaming prowess, so the most current generation of graphic intensive games probably won’t work.

As a general rule, I’m not a huge fan of shooters, but other than that I am open for suggestions. I typically prefer strategy games (Civ 4, Warcraft, Starcraft, Age of Empires), but would love to find some new games.

While a bit dated…I’m a fan of Fallout Tactics. It’s a wargame as much as Warcraft, but you can set it to turn based, and really get into the tactics. I’ve finished it a couple times…it’s a total time hog & really fun. Do a websearch for other reviews and perhaps some screen shots to see if it might be your thing.

There are lot’s of virtual worlds like that out there. I know ourWorld, Clubpenguin, IMVU, Zwinky, Meez, Fantage, Habbo, Whyville, Secondlife, Dizzywood, Tootsville, and more.

If you know the answer and the website, dont just tell the website i really rather you tell the website and what to do in order to download the games on the website. I downloaded 2 games into my computer, can I download another one?

It depends how big the games are and how much hard drive space your computer has.

If you have enough space, then yeah, you can download another game.

It’s illegal though, unless they’re games that people made for people to download.

I’m looking for a good source of adventure games that I can be or could be fully downloaded to my pc or any games.
