What are your top five online fantasy adventure games?

I tried playing Runescape but it didn’t pull me in, so I’m looking around some more. I came across Conan the Barbarian while online. Is that game any good? I know what the novels are about but never read them. What top five online fantasy adventure games (free of charge, yeah whatever) would you suggest?

I know everyone will hate me for it but when it comes to online fantasy, you simply cant beat World of Warcraft. I used to play Runescape (even paid for the extra zones at one point) but when I tried the free trial of WoW the difference between the two was ridiculous. It can only be challenged by Skyrim but thats not online.

I know you wanted a free or downloadable game but someone had to recommend WoW so it might as well be me!

Recommendations for good, preferably new adventure pc games with good graphics?

I love adventure games but I can’t find something "satisfying". I want a rather new game, at least made after 2000, with great graphics that take you in the world of the game. I’m all about the mood, the atmosphere, you know? I like mysteries, probably some detective story, preferably not too much fantasy involved.

Last night I completed and recorded the game. Be aware that since I just recorded my first go, I made a few mistakes and wondered a lot. Most of that has been edited out, after sorting through 250 gigs worth of 3 hours…
While splitting up into parts I have also tried to split it up at easy places rather than in the middle of doing something so video lengths may vary widely.

Anyone know anymore great Adventure games like Myst?

Does anyone know of anymore great adventure games like Myst, Nancy Drew Dossier’s Lights, Camera, Curses, etc? I really like those type of games where you have to figure your way through using objects to get into things or activate things. I’ve been trying to find some but honestly don’t know what to look for or how to tell a game is without having to play it. Thank you anyone for help.

You may enjoy Minecraft or an interactive text game such as Zork. They aren’t exactly like the ones you listed, but they are very enjoyable, challenging, and complicated; which I love.

Please keep in mind that this is just my subjective opinion and don’t get upset if your favorite game isn’t on the list. There are many games out there which are, objectively speaking, even better than some of the games that made the list. But, I enjoyed playing these games a little bit more, for this or that reason.

5. Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty city [GTA4] – Personal rating 8.2/10 The game was fun and addictive but the online wasn’t so great filled with loads of bugs
4. Dead Rising 2 – Personal rating 8.6/10 The story is epic and the gameplay is awesome but the game becomes way to repetitive
3. Red Dead Redemption – Personal rating 9/10 The game is fun and the story is great my big let down is he can’t swim and the cover system ain’t perfect
2. Assassin’s creed brotherhood [AC] – Personal rating 9.4/10 The game is gorgeous and very fun, the gameplay is great but the online is very stressful
1. Uncharted 2 Game Of The Year Edition [GOTY] – Personal rating – 9.9/10 What can i say it’s a perfect game and everything is fun and addictive, nothing else like it
