does downloading games harm your computer?

Will it harm my computer if I download a game from the internet on it? The sites that have the game I want to download are Bigfish Games and Playfirst, I know these companies sell games, so I was wondering if it is okay to download games from one of their sites and not have it harm my computer. The downloads are free, so that’s why I am not sure if they will hurt my computer or not.

I don’t know Playfirst but Bigfish should be safe as long as you downloaded it legally, but if you got it from a pirated website, then you will have surprises such as Trojan agents, Trojan horses, Spywares, viruses, etc. Firefox may be good, but you will still need a good Firewall such as Zone Alarm (44MB). It will also protect you from hackers, and I advise you Ad-Aware 8.3 (120MB), Spybot Search and Destroy (15MB) and Spyware Blaster (3MB). (Only one Antivirus, keep it updated at least weekly) and as many Antispywares as you want! As long as they don’t conflict with your computer…

In the meantime, if you see that your smart screen is off, you should not download the game as it could include something fishy!

Why can’t I open my downloaded computer games anymore?

It just recently started to happen. I have a downloaded game called AVA. When i downloaded it yesterday it worked just fine, but when i had to close it out and try to run it again it will not start up. It just ask’s me if I want to run it and I press continue but after that, nothing happens. Also, the gane maplestory use to work great and now does the same thing

i presume these are games from IJJI? No i know they are. Why do people download these free games they’re so much worse than games you have to pay for, TBH i would rather pay for a game than get it for free and play with a catalog of problems and glitches and errors etc. etc.

And this is my tutorial:
I made this tutorial to explain exactly what you will have to do after downloading a game. If you read it carefully you should not have any problems.
1. Since the download is complete go to Jdownloader, right click on one of the parts and select Open Directory
2. A folder should open (this is the folder where the game was downloaded). In it you can she all the parts, Jdownloader should have extracted them automatically, so an .iso should be also there. If there is no .iso then you will have to download and install this program:
32-bit:

After installing go again to the previous folder grab all the parts, right click and select 7zip and extract here (if a password is needed, you can find it in the text file under the links you downloaded).
3. Now you can burn the .iso on a DVD or download this program to mount it:

(After installing this program double click on the .iso to mount it.)
4. Either if you burned the .iso or you mounted it go to My Computer, there should be the game double click on it and install it.
5. After installing you’ll have to apply the crack. So go again to My Computer right click on the game and select open. In there, there should be a folder named CRACK or SKIDROW or RAZOR1911 or RELOADED or VITALITY. Open it and copy all it contains.
6. Go once again to My Computer, then click Local Disk, Program Files, find the folder with the developers’ of the game name(like Activision or Ubisoft), open it, open the folder with game’s name, paste there and click yes.
After all that it’s time for you to play!
