Way back in 1958, William Higinbotham invented Tennis For Two to liven up visitor day at Brookhaven National Laboratory, his workplace. The game uses an oscilloscope with two control pads. It remained largely unknown until 1981 when a lawyer trying to break Magnavox’s patent for video games came across writings talking about the game.
Blueprints of it were found to predate Magnavox’s game, the case was settled out of court, and the game found fame as the second ever invented, since it was later predated by A.S. Douglas’ ‘OXO’ game from 1952.

Specifically, I’ve gotten into Uberstrike and don’t want to go over my download limit. The graphics are 3d and okay, not super detailed. How many gig/meg am I looking at using up per hour?
If you don’t know about the game, you can find it at uberstrike.com.
Games use a LOT, ALL of what you have available. The only way the game does not take it all is if you share the connection with someone else, another computer on your LAN, in which case, you get a percentage of the connection to your ISP. To find the quantity, you simply multiply your connection speed by the time. My ISP does not have a limit on my connection. I have a DSL connection. I could put up my own web server if I wanted to. Check the terms of service that you bought into when you signed up with your ISP. Are you sure you have a download limit?
