Can I download computer games then copy them to install on my home computer?
Posted by: admin : Category: computer games downloads
I don’t have the internet at home and am willing to pay for games but most are only available to download. I can’t play them at work but want to download, then copy to take home and then delete on work computer. Will someone with limited computer skills be able to figure out how to do that?
Your best bet is to pay for them and have a solid copy in your hand in case your computer crashes or something.

Most commercial games come as an install file. The extension is usually .EXE. These will run just fine at home. The only problem will be getting updates.

Yes a person with a limited knowledge can do this. However, usually these files are very big. So you need a USB drive or burn to a CD at the office.
What you should do is to download to your office PC (use save as option). Then copy to the USB or burn to a CD. Bring it home and then simply double click the file.
Most probably it will ask few questions while installing. select the default value provided by the software.
Warning!
Check whether you are breaching any policies at your office by doing this.
