How do i prevent my son from downloading games on my computer?
Posted by: admin : Category: computer games downloads
My 5 year old son likes to play on club pogo on my computer, but when he sees a download button he goes nuts and downloads all the games on the page. How can i prevent him from doing this? Is there a password i can have set up,so in order to download he would have to type it in? I also, find him doing it with other game sites, but not as much. At times there are at least 20 games on my computer that have been downloaded by him. Any ideas?
you should deny the powers to download.dening his user id by romving the rights to open internet and if he asks for net open with your id and be with him and close the net yourself.

You can’t put passwords on downloads. It’ll probably be best to explain to your son that he shouldn’t do that without your permission and maybe you should monitor him a bit until he understands.

Yes, I think that you can set a password but you could also block the websites that he downloads from. But I think that there is a setting in the control panel that can set a password for your computer. And you this doesn’t help you might want to call Best Buy or Curcuit City to help you, they should know.

Tell him not to do it and punish/reward him to reinforce the lesson like you would in any other situation.
That’s what being a parent is about.
I suggest limiting his computer time if he downloads things he isn’t supposed to.

User Accounts.
In the Control Panel on your PC specify an administrator account for you and a special account for your son. Password protect the admin account and specify in the user options that your son’s account is not allowed to install applications.
Problem solved.

MAYBE
you should WATCH your kid when they are on the internet!
he is 5 years old!
that is def not old enough to be on the INTERNET unsupervised!
get a clue lady
other people are suffering because of ppl like you who dont watch what their own kid does.

You should give him an account but not as an administrator.. make the account a ‘Limited account’ so he won’t be able to download anything.
