How long do Mac games come out after PC games?

I want to buy a game for Mac which will be released on PC in a few weeks. How long until it comes out on Mac? And if its a long time, then can I somehow play pc games smoothly on a Mac?
Dual boot your Mac computer using Boot camp. Mac OS X has this and you can install windows on your mac and it will run exactly as if its a PC computer. Your gonna need a windows CD to install the operating system, I have XP on mine.

as other answer you can use bootcamp.
but i use a program called "crossover games", this way you dont need to load windows,
this enables pc games to run on a mac.
also you can get "crossover programs". this lets windows programs to run on a mac.
i got a macbook 4 weeks ago and at first i was completley lost but now i am familiar with the mac osx it is much easier than a pc.
i have run civ iv, rome total war, medieval ii total war, football manager 2010, all pc games on my mac book.
