Would downloading 5-10 free to play online games seriously mess up my family’s PC?

It’s a PC that is used for everything pretty much, hence it’s the family PC. I am really into video games, and free to play is awesome, but I’m worried that downloading multiple games would really slow down/overburden our computer. I’m guessing I should get a gaming PC to download games on?
I have downloaded so many MMO’s onto my computer that most of the icons on my desktop are games, it does not affect my computer in any way. And I dont have a gaming PC, its a normal PC from ‘02 and it has 1.5GB of RAM. And no video card, just a crappy chipset that came with the computer.

NEVER EVER download online games, it will completely infest your computer with viruses and crash it. And if you have enough money for a legit gaming pc then just buy reall computer games, but dont EVER download. Trust me, i learned the hard way and 3 of my computers have crashed because of it

downloading online games wont give you a problem, but if you download 5-10 games you should be fine. If you download say, WORLD OF WARCRAFT the gamesize would make your computer a tad bit slower but it wouldnt be noticable
