Are video/computer/online games ruining your marriage?
I’ve been hearing many women online talking about how their husbands spend hours online or playing video or computer games, to the point where it is ruining their marriages. Some have said their husbands basically eat, sleep, work and then come home and spend the rest of their time on the game. I’d like to know if this really is a problem out there or not. (If it is, I’d like to write a magazine article about it to make people more aware of the problem.)
Please do!!! I deal with this problem. My husband can spend more than 12 hours a day playing the online computer game Dungeons and Dragons Online on the weekends, and during the week when he works, he basically comes home and barely has enough time to change his clothes before he sits down in front of the computer. There have been times when I can’t get him come to dinner. Write the article…

When my guy and I first started dating he hid the video game addiction. Then six months later it came back in full force. He was pulling all nighters and even going in late to work because of it. Eventually he realized how much of a toll internet gaming was taking on our relationship and he tried something new, getting me into gaming. Now he no longer spends time gaming on the computer but instead he and I spend an hour or two every other day playing wirelessly on the Nintendo DSes. It’s fun, but it’s not life consuming, it doesn’t take priority in our lives. In my case my significant other gamed because prior to meeting me that was all he had (sad), so maybe your guy must has the same sort of deep seeded feelings associated with his game play, just ask.
