Do many Seniors play video games or online computer games?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: online computer games

What systems do you have and what are your favorite games either on a plug-in system or online?

I play word games such as Flip Words and Text Twist. I also
have Scrabble I downloaded. I play against the computer, not as much fun as playing with a human of course. I also have Klondike Forever which is also fun. I get them from
Mac games, Big Fish Games, or the Apple website.

Yes, I live in a senior community and most of us have computers. Many of us also play video games on line. It is a way to talk to many friends and even neighbors when you can’t get together and the games sure help to pass the time of day.

I never do. At one time I did play regularly at one of the on-line Texas Hold-Em web sites, non-money. Haven’t done that in over one year.

I tried scrabble once with a human but the rules were not the same as the board game so you could use peoples names and such.I quit playing

I’ve discovered the Wii. Love to play the sports games including the boxing. You can get as much of a work out as you want. We bought one for our agency and are teaching the seniors to play all the games. We’ve formed Wii bowling leagues and are having tournaments.

I’m either too cheap or too chicken to buy anything I’d have to plug in-but I go to Gamesville for Bingo and 21. I did buy Family Feud and Scrabble, but I know my limitations. I leave the heavy duty stuff to my children who were raised on computers. God bless them-but they dont have the patience to teach me how to use anything more complicated. I admire anyone who can do it.

no, not me, too busy researching and learning. But I used to go looking for simple games, saved them to favorites, then couldn’t find them again on favorites or the download was only for a short time….so they were gone before I knew it, oh well.

I don’t. I like the life sized video games with guns & steering wheels! I once paid $10 to sit in & operate a flight simulator for a helicopter. It was awesome. I doubt I could afford any of these new toys.

I’d love to have a good system like my nephew xbox. If I had better knees I’d be doing the dancing right along with everyone else. I started with video games when they first came out and have played them every since. I used to play Pong for money. The last thing I bought was Myst, got trapped on an island and couldn’t get off. I bought the sequel and it’s still in the box. So I play a lot of computer backgammon and a lot of MSN games. Since I’ve moved away from most of my game playin’ card playin’ friends, I’m glad to be able to play against other people online. The only game I’ve played over a long period is 3D tick tac toe that’s four by four by four. I cannot beat the computer playing at a reasonable rate. I like games you have to solve or think rather than memorizing repetitous moves. I’ve done enough Mario to upchuck. . .

I’m 43 and my partner brought me a PS3 for christmas. I love it. The only problem is that they don’t make a lot of games for it. I have a PS2 and a PSP as well.

I don’t have plug-ins but am becoming very interested in checking out the wii. I play on Pogo, lots of good games there, single or with other people. I have always been a game person and love to play cards, puzzle games, etc. I also enjoy Jigzone. I have purchased a couple of games and sometimes play them until I’m stupid and my eyes are crossing. I’m also a slot machine addict and love to gamble. Maybe, after reading my own post here, I should get a life.
