Why cant I save my online computer games on a memory stick instead of on my hard drive?

I usually order games from big fish and always have to download to my laptop which takes up a lot of space.
If you have read/write device hub for your memory stick you can. But remember it depends on how much memory you have on that stick to be effective. These devices can be found at Wal-Mart (camera dept) or Target.
